#back-to-school-backpacksHow is it already time to think about this? Summer just flies by! We have rounded up our favorite back to school items and put them all in one place. We hope this is helpful! In this post you’ll find our team’s favorite water bottles, backpacks, lunchboxes, and a few other essentials!
Super affordable, durable, lightweight for little hands and dishwasher safe. No small parts and the straw stays attached! 10/10.
Our school recently asked us to stop sending “squeeze” type bottles, and ya know why? Elementary boys with squirt bottles? Obviously no, LOL. This stainless steel version gets the approval for “cool factor” without annoying teachers 🙂
Move over Stanley, there’s a new OG in town. IYKYK. But honestly, I really like the Owala bottle too! The trademark sip top is comfortable and water stays super cold too!
A flip-top bottle from Simple Modern that we have recommended for years. A great option that is leak proof, dishwasher safe, and available in a lot of colors!
Our kids love the Stanley Flip Ice Flow. Super durable, fits easily in backpacks and sports bags and hard to beat the quality of Stanley. They last forever!
The Camelbak Eddy is what we always sent our kids with to daycare/preschool. I love the soft top for little teeth and now they are stainless steel which is easier to keep clean.
The classic Gatorade bottle is perfect for sports & after school activities. Make sure to label them though, there are always a million!
Simple Modern is a fantastic brand for school items – we love their backpacks & lunch bags. The bottles reflect that same quality and the bright colors are fun!
If you prefer a chug-style top, this Hydro Flask is a great option. This slimmer style ensures it will fit all backpack side pockets.
Adidas makes a classic backpack that is durable and will last years. Perfect for any sports-loving kid/tween/teen.
You can’t go wrong with a Simple Modern backpack – a little more expensive, but super durable and such fun colors and patterns.
Skip Hop has been a staple toddler backback for years! We used these years ago and the characters and prints can’t be beat!
This retro-style backpack from High Sierra gives 90’s vibes and we’re here for it! Love all the pockets and its affordable!
I sent my 14 year old niece this backpack and she loves it! Definitely a look for less!
My middle schooler has had this backpack for two years and it still looks like new. The small pocket on top is lined with soft, felt fabric so it’s great for sunglasses, a phone, or watch.
A fantastic all-around backpack for any older kiddo. Tons of pockets and versatility. Available in tons of colors too! A big hit with the teens/tweens.
Cat & Jack never dissapoints with their backpacks. Linked up a few options!
Another fun sports pattern from Cat & Jack!
Bought this one for my 10 year old who wanted something a little more mature. 😉 Still functional and cute, without “little kid” patterns.
Available in 3 different sizes, this style can fit the littlest toddlers to preschool/Kindergarten. Love the color block & fun options.
Love the throwback corduroy backpack from Jansport. My teen self would have snapped this up in a second!
The Bentgo for little kids. Reasons why we love it: Leak proof, dishwasher safe, has the ice pack insert.
The same great Bentgo box, but with a more modern feel and bigger compartments for older kids.
We LOVE the Packit brand of snack and lunch bags. The bags collapse and have built in ice packs in the sides. You simply collapse them and store them in your freezer overnight and they are ready to go the next morning. We love that there are no ice packs for them to lose!
We love the wipeable/firm structure of the interior here. No flimsy corners for crumbs and crud to get stuck! Easy to clean & the water bottle holder on the side is super convenient.
These are great for daycare when food goes directly into a fridge or for at-home meal & snack prep! Katie used these everyday when her kids were little!
This is the simple and traditional lunch bag Katie’s kids used. She loved it because it has a hard plastic liner inside that is easy to wipe clean. (nearly identical to the UA version, but from Lands End 🙂 )
Same Packit features, but slightly different style.
This snack bag was the first Packit item we ever got and we fell in love! This is the perfect size to send with your kids for snacks. We love them for summer camps! VIEW VIDEO HERE.
PlanetBox is the most well known stainless steel lunch box. It’s non-toxic, durable, and dishwasher safe.
The PlanetBox carry bags are not only adorable, but practical. They have a pocket on the outside for a water bottle, a pocket in the inside for an ice pack, elastic straps on the inside to hold utensils, and is made of easy wipe-down material.
Same idea as the PlanetBox, but a bit more affordable and leakproof.
A best seller all year, this fabric spray will keep sneakers, slides and boots dry and smudge-proof all school year long!
This label maker will help keep your items organized at home & keep your kids stuff from ending up in lost & found. 😉
We’ve recommended these headphones for years! Super affordable, comfortable and will last all year. We keep multiple sets at home!
Cute board to capture first-day-of-school memories!
A must-have for lunch bags to keep food cold all day!
If your childcare provider requires everything to be labeled, these are great! Dishwasher and washing machine safe & will stick to fabric and plastic.
This adorable nap mat features a fold and stuff design, complete with a convenient carrying handle and name tag. When folded, this nap mat doubles as plush pillow. Its travel-friendly and great for school! Tons of cute patterns!
Same concept, but more affordable! Lots of cute patterns here too!
Condiment containers are great for dips & dressings because they are small and spill proof! A must have for lunches on-the-go!
Silicone liners are a great way to make compartments in a larger lunch box. Separate chips / fruit / cheese easily and prevent spills & mess!
These multi-use bags are seriously a life-saver. I keep my kiddos extra set of clothes in one and it stays dry in his backpack. Would be great for school supplies or snacks for bigger kid too! A follower favorite!!
Reusable lunch box notes! Great for kids of all ages but especially kiddos who would love an encouraging note while they are away at school 🙂
And that’s a wrap! We would love to know your personal favorites when it comes to back to school picks for the kiddos. Here is a list of our favorite Back to School Books if you’re looking for something to help them get ready for the school year.
