This Dill Pickle Chicken Salad is one of those easy recipes that just hits the spot. Itโ€™s simple, itโ€™s crunchy, and has just the right amount of tang from those dill pickles we all love. Think of it as a zesty upgrade to your classic chicken salad.

Know what’s even better? You only need a handful of ingredients, and chances are you already have most of them in your fridge. Itโ€™s the kind of recipe thatโ€™s perfect for meal prep during the week, but also just as welcome served up at a Saturday tailgate or a Sunday afternoon on the lake.

Dill Pickle Chicken Ingredients

When it comes to the chicken, you can use leftover chicken breast, rotisserie, or make fresh – anything works. Measure with your heart with the mayonnaise, salt, and pepper.

When it comes to dill pickles, highly recommend Grillo’s Classic Dill!

The mustard is a dill pickle mustard that is a household favorite! Trader Joe’s has the best dill pickle mustard. If you don’t have that available – mix yellow mustard with a sprinkle of dried dill.

Mix all together and pair with your favorite wraps, crackers, or bread!

Tips & Serving Ideas

  • Croissant Sandwiches: Nothing says โ€œspecial lunchโ€ like a flaky croissant stuffed with chicken salad.
  • Snack Board Style: Scoop it onto a tray with crackers, cheese cubes, and fresh veggies for an easy gathering spread.
  • Lake Day Lunch: Pack it in a cooler and enjoy by the waterโ€”it holds up great!
  • Tailgate Twist: Serve it as a dip with kettle chips. Trust me, it disappears fast.
