Pizza Pasta

I made this Pizza Pasta recipe a few weeks ago. When I posted about it, I couldn’t believe the amount of requests I got to share the recipe. So here you go! This is one of those recipes that is so easy, but one that everyone loves. I have no doubt it will be added to your regular rotation.

pizza pasta

Spaghetti is always a favorite in our house, but one day I decided that I wasn’t in the mood for spaghetti. I had some pepperoni and pizza sauce on hand, but no pizza dough or crust. So I decided to make this Pizza Pasta instead and it was a huge hit with our girls, and well… everyone!

Modifications

If you know me, you know you can modify nearly all of my recipes to make them what you want. My girls and I are fully gluten free and mostly dairy free. That being said, this recipe can easily be made gluten free by switching out the pasta for your favorite gluten free sub. My favorite are the organic Aldi brown rice pasta or the Jovial Foods brown rice pasta.

Making it dairy free is harder, but doable! It will taste different, and I honestly haven’t found a great cheese sub that I love, but it is what it is! I would just swap the mozzarella balls for your favorite dairy free white cheese. I don’t mind the dairy free parmesan from Trader Joes.

Pizza Pasta Add-Ins

Lastly, let’s chat about what else you can add in! I kept the recipe very simple, but if you want to add in a different meat (or take out the meat) or more veggies, I think that would be really good too! Some add-ins or swaps I suggest are sausage, sautéed red or green peppers, spinach, onions, and olives! Yum!

Ok, I think that’s it. We would love to know if you try this recipe and what you think! If you’re looking for more easy dinner recipes, you can check out our archive here.
