Happy Thursday, Ladies! Guess what? I didn’t buy a darn thing from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. I didn’t even go online and look. I looked at a few things I was interested in a few days ago and most of them were sold out. I got busy yesterday with work and life and it just didn’t happen. I AM having a bit of FOMO about it, but I am hoping a few of the items are restocked soon and still on sale! I will have to keep my eyes open! Next year we will try to cover the sale. It just didn’t happen this year. #notenoughhoursinadaylately
Anyways, that brings me to this Nordstrom dress. This Nordstrom dress is one of my two absolute favorite dresses I have purchased from Nordstrom that I have has for years. Yes, YEARS. (Other dress is highlighted HERE.) They are quality dresses and they, in my opinion, are staple pieces that will be in style for quite some time. They bring both of them back year after year and they always add new colors. I must not be the only one who loves them! 😉
This dress, unlike the crepe shift dress, is a much more form-fitting dress. It’s a body-con style dress that hugs your body, especially your back-side. lol
You can easily dress it up with heels or, as you can see, dress is down with sneakers. I have worn this dress MANY times to work over the years, but put a long cardigan over it to feel a bit more covered on the back. The fabric is nice and soft, it washes up well, and like I said, it comes in so many colors.
Now, I have some good news and some bad news.
Bad news is that this dress is sold out in almost every color (this color is still available in medium) but it WILL be restocked. It’s always restocked. I will keep my eyes open and let you all know when.
Good news is that Amazon has a dupe and I ordered it to review it for all of you. It is just as good? No, but it’s really close! (The original is almost always better, is all areas of life, not just clothing.) It fits SUPER similar, but the fabric isn’t quite as nice. It’s just cheaper feeling. I mean it IS cheaper, so it makes sense. It’s totally worth a try IMO, especially with Prime. There is no risk and I don’t know about you, but I can return things to amazon in my sleep. haha!
I linked both the Nordstrom dress and the Amazon dupe! I am in an in an XS in the Nordstrom dress and a small in the Amazon dupe. Both fit me, both are form-fitting.
Calling all pregnant mamas: This dress would make THE cutest maternity dress. It is not maternity, but the ruching allows for a belly. It would be just the cutest on an expecting mama!
ok, one last thing and I will wrap this up! This backpack was given to me by by boss at my last job. She brought it back from one of her many trips to Europe! I love it so much and have used it SO much over the years! It fits my laptop and I think it’s just the cutest! I have linked it as well as a few similar ones.
