Gluten-free Apple Crisp

This apple crisp has just the right amount of sweetness and has a crumbly topping that is so simple and free of refined flour and sugar!

Ingredients
  

  • 3 cups apples (thinly sliced) You can use any fruit or combination of fruit you have on hand. Mixed berries are really good too.
  • 3/4 cup oats (gf)
  • 1/2 cup almond flour You could sub oat flour.
  • 1/4 cup coconut sugar You could sub brown sugar.
  • 1/4 cup butter/ghee You could sub coconut oil.
  • 1 tsp arrowroot powder You could sub corn starch.
  • 2 tsp cinnamon (divided in half)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees and spray the bottom of your baking dish(es) with oil.
  • In a bowl, combine the thinly sliced apples with the arrowroot and half of the cinnamon.
  • Pour into the bottom of the baking dish(es). Divide evenly if making mini crisps.
  • In the same bowl, melt the butter in the microwave for about 20 seconds.
  • Stir in the remaining ingredients. Oats, almond flour, coconut sugar, and 1 tsp. cinnamon.
  • Once everything is mixed, spread on top of the apples.
  • Bake for about 20-30 minutes unil apples are soft.
  • Enjoy with ice cream or whipped topping!
